Welcome to Korean Wikifur, Kiba. I'm EvilDragon. you must remember me, as I was chatting with you in IRC.

I have a question about a term.

I translated the word 'booth' into 점소(店所) or 점상(店床. how do you look that, if you considered only Chinese? is it seen weird?

I can't question you directly, because there's a trouble to enter IRC server, so that I did this.

"Targal 2011년 10월 2일 (일) 19:31 (KST)"

: Hello, EvilDragon, the word booth has many meanings. If it is translated into Chinese, it would be a smaller place than 店所 (places for stores or shops). I would name it as a 攤位。 If you would like to find me, we can use email, or you can leave me a instant messenger message.Alphawolf Kiba 2011년 10월 4일 (화) 20:25 (KST)

: that word "booth" is used to mean a store at a convention in Korea. for example, if, one at convention has a table on which goodies to sell are set, that table and place where table is on can be called as booth. generally, those goodies are books, accessories, etc.

: sadly, your suggestion '攤位' is not that good, because its pronouncing in Korean is not good. I make those English words translated, because I don't like unnecessary loanword like that. but Chinese can be a bit acceptable for Korean, as there's their language relationship between Korean and Chinese(also with Japanese.. lol.)

: I think mailing is better to talk about this. *****@*****.com :) "125.57.82.106 2011년 10월 4일 (화) 22:55 (KST)"

:: Ahh, you remind me that Taiwan regional language also affected by Japanese in new vocabularies. So this Chinese word 所 can mean a certain small place in many usages. It can be a table on it to sell goodies in convention. Your suggestion is also a good idea. :) Perhaps both of our languages are affected by Japan during world war 2 or modern TV programs. I'll mail you as possible as I can. But I'm too busy. Alphawolf Kiba 2011년 10월 6일 (목) 01:03 (KST)
